Riding off the narrow vapor
Look at what she's done
She's built a world with towers tall
That scrape the gazing sky
Her people worship her like a goddess
Blessed as she is
They don't know the coming terror
She won't save them from this

I don't know what fate holds
But death foretold

The rising tide floods coastal highways
The east shore surely drowned
The towers crumble, soften into
The Earth from which they came
People melting into forms that cannot live or die
Mavis comes back with a pail, but
She looks down and she sighs
