Relative Strangers by Allan Unnuk

A collaboration with my late brother, Matti, at a time when he was no longer able to perform himself. Although we had played in several bands in the past, this was the first time we’d composed songs together - separated by hundreds of miles, he’d send me hand-written lyrics, which I’d endeavour to put to music. With the exception of ‘Magic and Tragedy’, Matti’s lyrics are deeply personal, covering his relationships, his battle with alcoholism and his thoughts on how his life had turned out. Even towards the end, his skill with language was, as ever, remarkable. Enjoy!
