Dwell (EP) by Alison Lorenzo

We "dwell" to abide in peace, to be still and settled, and to draw our hearts closer to their true home.

This is a collection of improvised solo piano pieces that are authentic and simple in nature. 50% of all purchases and donations from this EP will go directly to a local organisation called Global Village.

Global Village is a grass roots, community-based initiative local to Byron Bay. It works to support social justice projects in developing nations such as India and Cambodia, as well as Australian Indigenous communities. Global Village partners with and supports groups and community leaders that are empowering people and communities in these nations to overcome issues surrounding poverty and oppression in its various forms.

I have the privilege of joining one of these teams in Cambodia this coming July, and will experience this first hand. Your donations will be greatly appreciated and effective in the lives of the people I meet!

The inspiration for this collection of piano pieces is purely beauty. I love to create melody and space for rest, reflection, connection to the spirit, and peace. Each track is simple in nature, made in the moment to fully embrace this creative journey (with Oil of Love as the exception). They are not polish perfect pieces; rather raw improvisation to step out and watch this creative process unfold organically.

I truly hope you enjoy this creative journey, and that it brings you as much joy and peace as it did in me creating it.
