Afterglow by Alex Ringess

This album was an endeavor.
It was mostly finished, like one track left to do, and I've got infected by Covid, quickly followed by a Bell's palsy. No need to say that it stopped all my works. The funny thing is that I've got Covid after I finished the track Overcome.
Fortunately, I recovered so fast that I was able to finishing it in no time.

So here is the album.

It start with a long form experimental drone about entropy. I had the idea of this track two days after my face was paralysed.
The second track, Afterglow, is a track I made last July but never released.
All the other tracks are exploring neo-classical in a way or another.

It is probably more obvious with the last 3 tracks which are more or less directly inspired by Palestrina and Victoria.

I need to mention that Exile I & II stands for Palestine. I thought of these peoples while making it. It's inspired by a musical piece from Palestrina called "Super flumina Babylonis" which is from Psalm 136 ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psalm_136 ).

So this time, I don't have an obvious story to tell with an album.
But the album itself is the story.

I'm a french musician, cooking it at home with my computer.
I'm doing noises that, occasionally, can be called electronic music.
