Hello everyone, I am the creator of the Cancer Estate ARG. Here is the story behind it.

I made this ARG in February 2022 for fun, I didn't have any script or story behind it. I just walked around Monaco, where I currently live, or my house with my Nintendo 3DS and filmed anything I saw. Then, I would go on my laptop and edit the videos so that they appear glitchy and "lost footage" like. I was inspired by ARGs like Cicada 3301 and Mandela Catalogue. The puzzles were made on the spot. The characters names were chosen without much thought, and were inspired by popular people's names. Alexis' (the main character) name was inspired from Alexis Marshall, the singer of the noise rock band Daughters, and Lauren's (the dead girl) name was inspired by LaurenZSide, a very popular YouTuber. At the end, I just told myself that this project isn't as good as I thought it would be. The puzzle weren't great and the encrypted messages were "on the nose". I am very proud of the music and SFXs that I made for these videos. Overall, this project isn't the best ARG, but hey, everything has a start!
