Brothers production duo Kyodai return to Afroterraneo imprint with a stunning new EP entitled 2STEP2HEAVEN.
Title track 2STEP2HEAVEN is a typically crisp and atmospheric production from the brothers Kyodai. Shimmering, syncopated, Afro-centric percussion and effects rub shoulders with a plump piano hook and vocal cut that nod toward classic House, while retaining the duo's hypnotic, understated aesthetic.
Second track 'Ride On' heads into deep, late night territory, with lazy shakers and jazzy cymbals underpinning a blunted, somewhat spooky groove.
Providing a sumptuous blend of light and darkness, 2STEP2HEAVEN shows as that in an unstable world, life is all about balance.
