Sentimientos Desafinados is a collaborative recording project by 18a16 Produccions, produce by Malcom Justicia from Havana Cuba and violinist Charlie Hankin from California, United States, featuring various Cuban hip hop artists. The CD mixes samples and melodies of classic Cuban tunes with modern hip hop beats and lyrics. This Project began in July 2016 and ended in January 2017.
Charlie Hankin is a violinist and doctoral student at Princeton University, where he studies hip hop culture in Cuba, Brazil, and Haiti.
Malcoms Justicia is one of the longest-standing hip hop producers in Cuba, having worked previously for the Cuban Rap Agency and multiples projects in Havana. He is also a member of the rap group Ondalibre.
