Original Nature by Abbas Premjee
This album is a continuation of my journey. The last album was Symbiosis, released in 2013. Original Nature is an attempt to explore the emotional kaleidoscope hidden in music. It can be a source of healing if we allow ourselves to completely experience the experience each track has to offer. This album was inspired by the following parable.
“There exists in the East a legend which relates that God made a statue of clay in His own image, and asked the soul to enter into it. But the soul refused to enter into this prison, for its nature is to fly about freely, and not be limited or be bound to any sort of captivity. The soul did not wish in the least to enter this prison. Then God asked the angels to play their music and, as the angels played, the soul was moved to ecstasy. have always been drawn towards music. Growing up in Karachi, Pakistan, musical instruments were rare. Nonetheless, I pursued music with a relentless passion and taught myself through books and determination.
I am in awe of the power of sound and music, It is a mysterious force which I will never completely understand. I remain thankful that it is my way of life.
