I had severely herniated a disc in my spine and was bed stricken for a few straight months. I couldn't sit up or stand for more than a couple minutes at a time, and then i got Mononucleosis on top of that whilst in bed. I was seeing an acupuncturist, Dorothy, somewhat regularly for treatment. Money ran out and i couldn't afford the acupuncture anymore so i offered to make some music for her practice in trade for some acupuncture, and thusly this album began. My back got better (thanks also in large part to the book "Healing Back Pain" by Dr. John Sarno) and in the time that followed i kept casually making pieces in this style and it resulted in this album of my version of "New Age" music. For Dorothy.

The following is an addendum to the notes on this album in response to the murders by police of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and too many others and events surrounding them:
I've worked on finding the best ways in which I can personally support the necessary movement that is taking place right now in America, and as a musician by trade there's one way in which I'd like to use my skillset to do so. A while back I made this album, For Dorothy, to help induce relaxation and calm in times of bad health and stress (often the two go hand-in-hand). As protests and unrest rage on I'd like to offer this album as support in the moments of reprieve from the ongoing tumult. This is not me telling anyone to calm down or refrain from protest. March on. Speak up. Do what you need to do. But at night as you unwind or fall asleep, or in the morning before you set out for the day, feel free to partake of this album as support in finding calm.
This digital album is now free OR if you want to pay for it all money (save for what bandcamp takes) will be directly donated to the National Bail Out: www.nationalbailout.org
I realize that this is not a monumental act on my part, but this isn't about "me"; It's about getting any and all support to those who need it.
