Wilson Marks studied jazz in New Orleans and tacos in Austin TX. Pop-sensible melodies over technical, jazz-inspired fretwork. His voice is one part gravel (a la Tom Waits), one part whimsical (more like Harry Nilsson). Songs of love and longing, but more magical than your average fare, like the love and longing from one alien to another, from a merman to his mermaid.
